About The Program

Welcome to the 2024 Fall Northeast Innovation Forum, a leading K-12 Education and Technology Conference. Engage with thought leaders, educators, and technology experts as we explore the most crucial topics shaping the educational landscape today. From digital literacy and remote learning strategies to AI integration and inclusive education, this forum is a vital platform for discovering actionable insights, sharing best practices, and collectively addressing the pressing challenges that define the future of K-12 education. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this dynamic exchange, where ideas converge and solutions emerge for the evolving needs of our educational ecosystem.

Topics Of Discussion

Marketing is not just about advertising; it is a deliberate and strategic process of uncovering, understanding, and meeting the needs of users, customers, and stakeholders. Despite the immense potential sitting in our EdTech lockers, we often fail to reach our full potential. This workshop will explore the critical steps necessary to enhance our edtech strategies and fully harness the opportunities presented by our digital ecosystem. Moving forward, this is how we own our story.

This roundtable will discuss ways to enhance career education in the K-12 system emphasizing early career exposure, integrating RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional) model principles, and aligning them with core subjects. Participants will learn that hands-on experiences and strong school-industry partnerships are keys to success. Incorporating RIASEC-based activities helps students discover their interests and aptitudes, while linking them to core content like math, social studies, science, and language arts. We will highlight the importance of career counseling, technology integration, and ongoing teacher training to prepare students for diverse career paths and real-world skills.

Integrating safe AI enabled edtech technologies into inclusive lesson design and planning can significantly enhance personalized learning, making it more effective and engaging. Discover the strategies and methods that the Natick Public Schools personalized learning instructional coaches (PL coaches) use with educators to enhance student motivation, through engagement, sense of belonging and agency. Join in this compelling and interactive session to discover how to revolutionize teaching methods with AI technologies and modern educational practices.

Join leaders for a roundtable discussion to discuss how future-ready skills can be integrated into all aspects of a school system. From policy and strategic planning to standard and curriculum integration how are districts of all types and sizes operationalizing future-ready skills? Discussion led by the director and assistant director of the department of educational technology from Worcester Public Schools in MA who are in the second year of their journey and about to pilot digital portfolios and project based learning to bring the VOL to life.

As a school leader, I believe in leading with love in a district and school that creates and fosters a supportive, compassionate, and inclusive learning environment. This would encompass but is not limited to, building relationships, creating safe learning environments, promoting SEL, encouraging a growth mindset, addressing diverse student needs, and fostering a positive school culture. This would all be accomplished by training leaders to be Culture Curators, leaders as models, instructional leaders, and strategic managers.

Mark Twain once said, “Out of the public school grows the greatness of the nation.” That’s why we have developed P-TEACH, our Pathways to Teaching program, to actively recruit, inspire, launch and retain the next generation of great educators. In our unique and innovative program, 150 high school students and 80 para-professionals earn up to 43 college credits toward a Bachelor’s degree in Education, at no cost. P-TEACH students and professionals engage in rigorous college level coursework, immersive field experiences, paid work-based opportunities, active mentee/mentor relationships, and access valuable apprenticeships. These experiences give our students unmatched skills, experience, and presence compared to future teachers prepared in traditional university programs. Learn strategies we use to recruit, support and maintain a diverse student community especially our first generation, LatinX and bilingual students. Learn how we optimize grants, partnerships and internal system strategies to scale our program to make it financially attainable and sustainable.

Identify state, federal, and philanthropic grant opportunities that serve your district’s needs and other districts’ needs, providing long term monetary resources and continued support through a cohort based approach to empower sustainable positive change and long lasting relationships.

Opening Keynote Speaker

Join Superintendent Dr. Rainey Briggs for an impactful keynote designed to empower educators, administrators, students, and community members to effectively respond to and recover from viral incidents. This presentation will draw from Dr. Briggs’ personal experience with a recent, highly publicized incident, where he was pushed off the graduation stage by a parent. This act, widely perceived as racially motivated, garnered national attention and raised significant concerns about safety, race relations, and community cohesion. I really enjoyed the one on one conversations with the solution providers. It gave you the ability to ask all of the questions you have without feeling rushed or interrupted.

Samantha Holder
Director of Elementary Academics, Amarillo Independent School District

The model used by RTM is the perfect mix of content and vendor meeting. I looked for ARD to both the strategy sessions and the 1:1 meetings with vendors. I spoke with vendors I would have walked right by at a traditional conference.
