This would encompass but is not limited to, building relationships, creating safe learning environments, promoting SEL, encouraging a growth mindset, addressing diverse student needs, and fostering a positive school culture. This would all be accomplished by training leaders to be Culture Curators, leaders as models, instructional leaders, and strategic managers.
P-TEACH - The Time is Now! Grow Your Own Teachers
Mark Twain once said, “Out of the public school grows the greatness of the nation.” That’s why we have developed P-TEACH, our Pathways to Teaching program, to actively recruit, inspire, launch and retain the next generation of great educators. In our unique and innovative program, 150 high school students and 80 para-professionals earn up to 43 college credits toward a Bachelor’s degree in Education, at no cost. P-TEACH students and professionals engage in rigorous college level coursework, immersive field experiences, paid work-based opportunities, active mentee/mentor relationships, and access valuable apprenticeships. These experiences give our students unmatched skills, experience, and presence compared to future teachers prepared in traditional university programs. Learn strategies we use to recruit, support and maintain a diverse student community especially our first generation, LatinX and bilingual students. Learn how we optimize grants, partnerships and internal system strategies to scale our program to make it financially attainable and sustainable.
